The Girl & the Goldfish

This mama is flying a delicate silk goldfish kite on this blue sky day; her little one strapped to her back watching her every move. The flowers weave an intricate pattern of jewel-like colours of emerald, ruby, sapphire & citrine. Inspired by my time in East Asia with all it's every day beauty.
This painting measures at 30" x 30" & is available for sale SOLD.

  1. It makes me remember China and South Africa, where I raised my children. If Africa the boys in the village I would visit every Sunday to teach, would collect pieces of plastic and paper that blew in the wind to create kites. They were so creative. I carried all my babies with me on my back. In China I loved the beauty of their crafts and their love to be outside in nature, often with their only child.
