A few of the many images that have been influencing my work lately....All via my Pinterest. I especially love seeing details from Indian architecture. Look how stunning the ceiling of the Taj Mahal is!

Wanderlust Grips The Maharani
The Maharani is gripped yet again by the idea of seeking adventure! She is making her escape (this time with her Maharajah) against a glowing dusk sky. The bluebirds are peeking between softly golden & intricate foliage in the garden, wondering where the two are off to this time... This painting is inspired by inlaid jewelry & miniatures of the Mughal empire, as well as by Chinese imperial ceramics. The golden leaves catch the light & illuminate depending on the time of day.
This painting is 30" x 40" inches & is available for sale SOLD.

It Started At Sea II
A continuation of the adventurous narrative of It Started At Sea. Yet this time the colours & pattern are inspired by African wax prints with their incredibly vivid contrasting hues & stunning brilliance. The waters consist of an ombré of light fuchsia to dark wine, creating a moody yet luminous feeling to the pattern; all the while the flying fish of various shades of cyan seemingly fly through the waters.
This painting is 80 x 100 cm (close to 31.5" x 40" inches) & is available for sale SOLD.
