Autumn is in the air...I'm instinctively making more soups than gelato, wearing a jacket during the days & curling up in the evenings with hot teas. The leaves are ever so slightly tinged with reds, oranges & golds.
I'm brewing new work meanwhile & can't wait to show you. This picture is of some beautiful antique Persian tiles I spotted this summer. I find the combination of animals & birds on them incredibly inspiring...
beautiful... i am also looking forward to cooler weather and hot tea!
ReplyDeletethese are so beautiful... what are you planning on doing with them? we have a few as well, but haven't figured out how to use them :) love the new painting as well!
ReplyDeleteI love love love tiles. These are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe tiles are just magical!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your new works!
nice photo... good tones... looks like a black market basement.
ReplyDeletesuch pretty tiles, wonderful bird imagery!--how lovely to have a room to curl up and relax tiled with some of these...
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely - what a great find!
ReplyDeleteAran - I know! Its such a cozy season isn't it?
ReplyDeleteNoosh - I didn't have enough cash to buy all of these, I only have a few tiles. My favorite is a light blue one with a man on a horse surrounded by flowers. I will take a picture of it soon! Although the man selling them tried to convince me to use it as a hot pad under food! I would never, I just displayed them on the walls & shelves around the house.
elizabeth- thanks love! I have a soft spot for tiles myself...
Tartelette - its always exciting to have new ideas, so i can't wait to show you...
namo - thanks! i'm working on my photography skills!
bon bon oiseau- truly, it would so delightful :o)
please sir- it was exciting to find such a thing in a dark extremely cluttered antique shop!
love these! when i lived in London i had a couple of tiles that i used as coasters, but i agree that these ones are waaaay to pretty for that purpose!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful. I fell in love with old tiles when I was in Amsterdam.
ReplyDeletei will..and some macarons...
ReplyDeleteYup! I agree. Those are so gorgeous. I love the bird one. There is something about lovely rich tiles that makes you think of a sultry souk somewhere. There is a Moroccan restaurant here in my city with a wall of similar tiles...I swear the food tastes better because of the decor.
ReplyDeleteThose tiles remind of the infiniteness of the oceans. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteNice Collection of information!!
ReplyDeleteI read your blog information and like it.
