Love as Light as Air

This is my attempt to capture the profound love a mama has for her little one with it's limitless, pure & radiant joy. I've been more & more trying to encapsulate a mood or feeling with my use of colour, as I feel more inclined to paint from a place of spiritual emotion now that I am a parent myself. I created a very reflective gold leaf-like pattern in the ground inspired again by the mobiles & stabiles of the artist Alexander Calder.
