a coral trunk

My husband & I came across an antique trunk, & I think it could be as old as the 30's or 40's. As a little weekend project we renovated it into a bright coral red, & because we both love patina, we kept the dark brown trim to keep its original character. The Limon lettering above actually spells out "limonana" but I couldn't fit them all onto the trunk! We had made the lettering out of cardboard. You can see the before & after here:

  8. hi shirin, kissley here (i know layli and na'im through evergreen). i take a peak at your blog sometimes through layli's and just wanted to say i love the trunk. i'm a bit allergic to 'home diy' (but will try my first project soon - curtains!) so i admire your work! hello to na'im!
