the postman



A painting I had done about Jacques Tati's incredible postman in "Jour De Fête".

    It is more difficult to understand this painting than your other ones, I think, but the colors are sublime. I love how the sky and the earth forms itself around the postman.

    Hope your exhibition went well. It's kind of funny because when I was little and lived with my grandmother in a little village in the Czech Republic, our postman actually did ride a bicycle. This painting made me smile.
